Lawyers and law firms are asked to participate in a statewide
virtual food drive throughout the month of March to help food banks assist hungry Hoosiers.
Not knowing where the next meal will come from is experienced by too many in our state — including children, seniors, and families. Indiana’s food banks and their partners relieve some of the uncertainty for more than 887,000 Hoosiers at risk of hunger. By helping residents put food on the table, they can lead healthier lives, worry a little less, and have hope for a better future.
The Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana State Attorney General’s Office, and Feeding Indiana’s Hungry will join forces for the 12th annual March Against Hunger virtual food drive from March 1-31. Over 70,000 pounds of food + $425,000 in monetary donations have been collected through March Against Hunger since 2009.
March Against Hunger encourages law firms to raise money for the food-insecure in our state through friendly competition. By raising thousands in cash contributions and non-perishable grocery items, the event has helped reduce food insecurity for hungry Hoosiers. Cash contributions are encouraged due to the stewardship of resources, food reclamation from area groceries and purchasing power of Indiana’s food banks. Contribution amounts will be calculated at the end of March, and winners will be announced and presented with one of the coveted March Against Hunger trophies. Please raise the bar and join the March Against Hunger!
