P-EBT Summer Distribution Guidance
The Family and Social Service Administration (FSSA) Division of Family Resources issued summer 2022 P-EBT on Monday, July 18 to provide payments to families with children who receive free and reduced lunch at school. Eligible students were pulled from IDOE’s Data Exchange under the criteria of all free or reduced lunch eligible students enrolled as of Saturday, May 1, who had not been reported as moving out of state before the end of the school year. This list included all students enrolled in Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools. Households that have current P-EBT cards (from 2020-2021 or 2021-2022 school years) should see benefits added to the card as of Monday, July 18. If a student has never received P-EBT benefits, a new card is being mailed to the family and may arrive as late as next week.
