Feeding America is the national affiliate of Feeding Indiana’s Hungry, the statewide association of food banks, and of the 10 member food banks in Indiana. This video not only speaks to the need of emergency food assistance nationwide, but shows you what a food bank does. Nationally, 205 Feeding America affiliated food banks serve those in need by warehousing and distributing food to 63,000 agencies and through Kid’s Cafe and Back Pack programs. Feeding Indiana’s Hungry is proud to be affiliated with Feeding America and is proud of the outstanding work done by our Indiana food banks to solicit, collect, purchase, and distribute food to 1,600 soup kitchens, food pantries, after school programs, senior centers, homeless shelters, and other non-profit charitable organizations.
