Nearly one in four children in America doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from. Here in Indiana, the ten member food banks of Feeding Indiana’s Hungry served almost 296,000 children in 2009.
ConAgra Foods will donate one meal, up to 2.5 million, with each purchase of the Peter Pan, Banquet, Healthy Choice, Orville Redenbacher’s, Marie Callender’s, Hunt’s Manwich, and Chef Boyardee brands. Many brands are taking individual initiative to help fight child hunger, like Peter Pan, which is donating the equivalent of 1 million meals.
