IN Pork has been a tremendous partner of Feeding Indiana’s Hungry with the Million Meals program, which will donate one million pork meals annually to Indiana’s food banks. Now, the National Pork Board is joining the action!
National Eat Together Week, September 20-26, 2009, encourages families to eat together WHENEVER they can find time.
America’s pork producers are helping those in need enjoy a meal, too. Beginning at midnight Sunday, September 20, in partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief charity, America’s pork producers are encouraging you to “click for a cause.” For every recipe printed or shared via email from the special National Eat Together Week page, America’s pork producers will donate five pounds of pork (or about 25 meals) to a food bank in need. America’s Pork Producers will donate up to 10,000 pounds of pork – which is 50,000 meals!
